My paintings are created in oil and/or acrylic paints and I paint all types of subject matter. My style is very loose realism to abstract.

I love art and enjoy the company of artists. The art created makes people smile and there is nothing better in life than to see the joy in someone’s eyes when they find that special painting. And, of course, I am so very pleased when one of my paintings finds a new home.

I have studied under many wonderful artists, the most recent is William Schneider, who has the designation of Master-Signature painter awarded by Oil Painters of America. I have taken multiple classes at his studio in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

I started painting in oils at nine years old and painted until age 15.  Then I stopped to gain an education, work to fund the education, build a career, all while raising a family. During this time, I would take an art class and create some paintings for my home and friends. I always promised myself that I would go back to art fulltime in retirement. However, I emersed myself into art much sooner.

In 2001, I began to paint actively and in 2006, I purchased a building, remodeled it and opened the River’s End Gallery in Waukesha and later in Elm Grove. I have sold hundreds of my paintings to clients all over the country and internationally. I have enjoyed my many commissions to paint something special for a client (more than 300 commissions over the 19 years.)

In 2018, I retired from my position of Senior Vice President in a large technology company where I worked as a marketing and sales professional to become a full-time artist. My career required my working with advertising agencies and wonderful artists. I have been very lucky to have art in my entire life.

My gallery, River’s End Gallery, closed in July 2024.  Since then, I have joined multiple art groups and have begun to exhibit as listed in my Artist Resume.
